Mending with Boro book

Harumi Horiuchiis an expert in repurposing old fabrics to make bags and other goods and rejuvenate favorite garments, particularly linen. Horiuchi has co-authored other books in her native Japan on the joy of reworking and wearing old clothing.

The techniques are thoroughly explained with great corresponding pictures to illustrate the process. The narrative of the origin of boro and its place in todays world along with Ms. Horiuchis advice for a cozy life makes this book a great read.
