100% organic closely-woven cotton cloth, slightly heavier than shirtweight. Fairly hardy with a slight texture. Perfect for dressmaking – items that suit a little stiffness such as heavier shirts, dresses, trousers, skirts – as well as small homewares, curtains and quilt backing.

100% organic cotton. 120cm wide. 163 g/m2.

Please note, as this fabric is organic, there may be minor irregularities to the weave.

We recommend that you prewash this fabric before cutting in case of any minor shrinkage due to the finishing processes used. Wash at 30 with mild detergent. Line dry and use minimal tumble drying. Iron on a med-hot cotton setting.

Production notes: Raw material is certified organically-grown from India and spun into yarn in India at a GOTS-certified mill. The cloth is woven on small power looms in a small fair trade community in Kerala, India. Bleached using oxy or hydrogen peroxide methods.
